Online resources for Eastern Iowa Teachers and Parents

Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa is providing free online resources to teachers and parents. We are doing this so our kids can spend more time planning for and dreaming about tomorrow, and less time worrying about today. We are committed to doing this until we can all be certain again.

Dawn Bowlus has spent more than 25 years helping students develop innovation, invention, and entrepreneurship skills through her work at the University of Iowa. As a Junior Achievement board member and volunteer for more than 15 years, she is passionate about connecting students with their community and helping them explore their future through programs like the JA Dream Accelerator™.

Kelli Artley returned to Iowa in 2025 with a desire to reconnect with her community—and found purpose through volunteering with Junior Achievement. For the past eight years, she has helped students build financial literacy and confidence through programs like JA Our City®, JA Career Speakers®, and BizTown® by Junior Achievement. Her story highlights the powerful impact volunteers have—not just on students, but on themselves.

From Curiosity to Confidence: How One Educator Is Shaping Student Futures

Ann Jameson, an 18-year educator with the Cedar Rapids Community School District, is passionate about helping students discover both the power of science and their own potential. Through her work supporting magnet schools and implementing 3DE and Junior Achievement programs, she creates learning experiences that connect classroom content to real-world opportunities. Ann believes curiosity, determination, and supportive relationships are the foundation for student success—and through her leadership, students are building the confidence and skills they need to thrive in their futures.
