In Episode 2 of Real World Rundown, Dr. Nate Klein sits down with College Community Superintendent Dr. Doug Wheeler for a candid conversation about leadership, innovation, and what it takes to prepare today’s students for tomorrow’s world.

Under Doug’s leadership, College Community has been a driving force behind several groundbreaking JA initiatives in Eastern Iowa. They were one of the first districts to bring 3DE™ to the region and among the earliest adopters of JA BizTown® Mobile, helping us test and refine the experience for future schools.

Doug reflects on what fuels that level of engagement:

“We have a catchphrase on our staff shirts every year and this year it is, their future, our purpose. And if that catchphrase could be my legacy, I’d be happy with that.”
